Brent Collins is a musician originally from Newfoundland and now based in Nova Scotia.
Brent started piano lessons at a young age, eventually picking up a guitar at age 12. Since then he has followed his passion of making music – always pushing himself to new challenges. As a teenager in Newfoundland he played in a variety of bands and won several ‘battle of the bands’ competitions playing original music. After high school Brent attended St. FX University and received his degree in music. He now lives in Antigonish teaching music at his private music studio.
During his time in Nova Scotia Brent has played with many artists as a sideman and as a founder of a couple bands. You have seen him as a member of Roundhouse, Broadcaster and Mad Chatter, and accompanying Brian England, Breagh MacKinnon, Dan Mason amongst others and has shared a stage with The Trews, Rex Goudie, Eddie Cummings, LeeBoy, Jenny Macdonald, The Jimmy Swift Band, Slowcoaster, Grand Theft Bus… to name a few.
